Overview
Cova Negra is a small cave at around 10.1 km, 19 mins from Sitges.
Carrer la Ginesta, 6 08810 Sant Pere de Ribes, Barcelona, Spain 13 m S 41.269818,1.808106
It is not much to look at, but it is amongst nice scenery and is perfect for an afternoon adventure.
Some brave visitors squeeze inside this small cave.
Access to the main chamber is via a slim 5 feet section, just after the entrance. That opens up into a short 20 – 30 feet area of good standing height with high ceilings.
(Streetview of the entrance to the path leading to the cave is here and embedded below)
(please be mindful of bats that may live there and enter at own risk, with someone knowing where you are!)
The cave is reached via a dirt road suitable for standard vehicle and some parking (space). More rugged vehicles may be able to travel down the side road and avoid the 15 minute walk. However it is a pleasant scenic route and we are not sure of parking deeper, after the cave (there was none before).
